Shares of Bajaj Auto rose nearly 1% in early trade on June 1 after the company reported strong sales growth for May 2026, driven by robust demand in export markets and steady domestic performance across its two-wheeler and commercial vehicle segments.
As of 10:00 AM IST, Bajaj Auto shares were trading near ₹10,565, up around 1% from the previous close of ₹10,460. The stock opened at ₹10,500 and touched an intraday high of ₹10,567, while the day's low stood at ₹10,461. The stock remains close to its 52-week high of ₹10,834.
The company reported total sales of 4,61,257 units in May 2026, marking a 20% year-on-year increase compared to 3,84,621 units sold in May 2025. The growth was largely supported by strong export momentum across both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles.
Domestic sales during the month stood at 2,48,031 units, up 10% from 2,25,733 units a year ago. Export sales climbed 34% year-on-year to 2,13,226 units, reflecting healthy demand across international markets.
Two-Wheeler Sales Register Strong Growth
Bajaj Auto's two-wheeler segment continued to deliver strong performance, with total sales rising 18% year-on-year to 3,93,204 units in May 2026 from 3,32,370 units in the corresponding month last year.
Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 9% to 2,09,528 units, while exports grew 30% to 1,83,676 units. The sharp rise in overseas shipments highlights the company's strong position in key international markets and continued recovery in export demand.
Commercial Vehicle Sales Jump 30%
The commercial vehicle business also posted an impressive performance during the month. Total commercial vehicle sales surged 30% year-on-year to 68,053 units compared to 52,251 units in May 2025.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales grew 12% to 38,503 units, while export volumes soared 65% to 29,550 units. The sharp increase in exports significantly contributed to the overall growth of the segment.
Strong Start to FY27
For the April-May 2026 period, Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 9,75,049 units, representing a 30% increase from 7,50,431 units recorded during the same period of the previous financial year.
Two-wheeler sales for the first two months of FY27 rose 28% to 8,33,157 units, while commercial vehicle sales jumped 42% to 1,41,892 units.
Domestic sales during the period increased 11% year-on-year to 4,96,241 units. Export sales emerged as the key growth driver, surging 57% to 4,78,808 units, underlining the company's expanding global footprint and strengthening international demand.
