Shares of Craftsman Automation Ltd. surged more than 6% in intraday trade on July 29, touching a fresh 52-week high of ₹10,037 after the company reported a robust set of earnings for the first quarter. As of 1:48 PM, the stock was trading near its day's high, reflecting strong investor confidence following impressive growth in profit, revenue, and operating performance.
The company reported a 116% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to ₹151 crore, compared to ₹70 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 36.3% YoY to ₹2,431.6 crore, up from ₹1,784 crore, driven by healthy demand across its business segments.
Operating performance also remained strong. EBITDA rose 45% YoY to ₹384 crore, compared to ₹265.3 crore a year ago. The company's EBITDA margin improved to 15.8%, up from 15.0%, indicating better operational efficiency despite a challenging industry environment.
The strong quarterly performance triggered fresh buying interest in the stock. During the session, Craftsman Automation traded between a low of ₹9,282.50 and a new 52-week high of ₹10,037, after opening at ₹9,300.50, compared to its previous close of ₹9,290. Trading activity was also elevated, with over 2.95 lakh shares changing hands by early afternoon.
The sharp rise in earnings, coupled with double-digit revenue growth and expanding operating margins, has strengthened investor sentiment toward Craftsman Automation.
