Cyient shares are expected to stay in focus on Monday after the engineering and technology solutions provider announced the purchase of a 100% stake in US-based Tao Digital Solutions Inc. for an enterprise value of $218 million.
The firm has signed a formal agreement to purchase the digital engineering firm, with the transaction scheduled to close on or about September 30, 2026, subject to normal closing conditions, regulatory approvals, and statutory compliances.
Acquisition Details
Cyient will acquire all equity shares of Tao Digital Solutions and its group businesses, which operate in Canada, India, Taiwan, Greece, Germany, the Czech Republic, Australia, and New Zealand.
The deal will be executed using a cash consideration structure that includes an upfront payment and a performance-based earnout component.
Cyient stated that the acquisition is not a related-party transaction, and that neither the promoter group nor the group firms have any stake in Tao Digital Solutions.
