Dishman Carbogen Amcis shares rally over 5% after CARBOGEN AMCIS commissions new solar power plant in Switzerland

Dishman Carbogen Amcis shares rallied more than 5% in early trading on Tuesday after the company announced that its Switzerland-based subsidiary, CARBOGEN AMCIS AG, has successfully commissioned a new ground-mounted photovoltaic system at its Neuland facility. The project marks another step in the company's long-term sustainability strategy by expanding the use of renewable energy across its operations.

As of 11:27 AM, Dishman Carbogen Amcis shares were trading near the day's high. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹177.92, up from its previous close of ₹168.57. The stock opened at ₹168.57, with an intraday low of ₹168.57, while trading volume stood at 2.53 lakh shares.

The newly commissioned solar power plant has an installed capacity of 1,200 kWp and consists of 2,448 photovoltaic modules spread across approximately 6,200 square metres at the Neuland site in Switzerland. According to the company, the installation is among the most efficient conventional ground-mounted solar systems in the Swiss Mittelland region, delivering performance close to that of vertical alpine solar installations.

Ground-mounted photovoltaic systems remain relatively uncommon in Switzerland, making CARBOGEN AMCIS one of the few companies to develop such a facility on its own industrial premises. The electricity generated by the plant will primarily be used for on-site consumption, helping reduce dependence on conventional energy sources while lowering the company's carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions.

The solar project was executed in partnership with energy and infrastructure companies IWB (Industrielle Werke Basel) and its subsidiary Planeco, which handled the planning and implementation of the facility.

The company stated that the new installation represents another important milestone in its sustainability roadmap. CARBOGEN AMCIS aims to improve energy efficiency across its manufacturing operations while steadily increasing the share of renewable energy used in its pharmaceutical process development and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production.
