The company posted a 56.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹28.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, compared to ₹18.5 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations also recorded healthy growth, rising 32% YoY to ₹412 crore from ₹312 crore.
Operating performance improved during the quarter as well. EBITDA increased 52.6% to ₹49.3 crore, up from ₹32.3 crore in the year-ago period. The company's EBITDA margin expanded to 12%, compared to 10.3% a year earlier, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
Despite the strong earnings, the stock witnessed selling pressure during Friday's session. At 10:14 AM, GNG Electronics shares were trading at ₹528.10, which also marked the day's low after hitting the lower circuit. The stock opened at ₹560 and touched an intraday high of ₹561.15 before reversing course.
