Nepal-India Economic Partnership: Finance Ministers Discuss Trade, Energy and Reconstruction

New Delhi: Nepal Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle held an official bilateral meeting with India’s Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Friday.

Focus on Strengthening Economic Ties

The two ministers held comprehensive discussions on development cooperation and strengthening Nepal-India economic relations. The talks covered several key areas, including post-flood reconstruction, trade, investment, energy and Connectivity.

Discussions on Reconstruction and Development

The meeting also focused on Nepal’s reconstruction needs following recent floods. Both sides discussed cooperation in infrastructure and economic development as part of efforts to further strengthen bilateral ties.

Trade, Investment and Energy Cooperation

Trade and investment were among the key areas discussed during the meeting, along with Energy Cooperation and Connectivity. The discussions were aimed at expanding opportunities for economic collaboration between the two neighbouring countries.

Nepal-India Partnership to Expand Further
