NTPC Green Energy shares are expected to remain in focus on Monday after the company announced the commencement of commercial operations of an additional 50 MW solar capacity in Rajasthan.
According to the company's disclosure, the newly commissioned capacity became operational on June 14, 2026. The project forms part of the ongoing 200 MW renewable energy round-the-clock (RTC) project being developed by the company.
50 MW Solar Capacity Added in Rajasthan
The newly operational 50 MW capacity is a segment of the broader 300 MW solar project being implemented under Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
The commissioning marks another milestone in NTPC Green Energy's efforts to expand its renewable energy generation portfolio and strengthen its presence in India's growing clean energy sector.
Total Installed Capacity Rises to 10,671.40 MW
Following the addition of the latest solar capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased from 10,621.40 MW to 10,671.40 MW.
The increase reflects the company's continued focus on scaling up renewable energy assets, particularly solar power projects, as demand for clean energy continues to rise across the country.
