PVR Inox shares jumped more than 2% on September 1 after the company’s board approved a share buyback worth approximately ₹300 crore.
The cinema exhibition company will repurchase 20.69 lakh equity shares at a fixed price of ₹1,450 per share. September 4, 2026, has been set as the record date for determining the shareholders eligible to participate in the buyback.
PVR Inox shares touch ₹1,244
PVR Inox shares opened at ₹1,244, compared with the previous closing price of ₹1,207.70.
The stock touched an intraday high of ₹1,244 and a low of ₹1,211. Trading volume stood at 5,75,355 shares as of 12:55 pm.
The company’s shares have traded between a 52-week low of ₹907.40 and a 52-week high of ₹1,284.50.
PVR Inox buyback terms
Under the approved proposal, PVR Inox will buy back 20.69 lakh equity shares at ₹1,450 apiece. The transaction will amount to approximately ₹300 crore.
The fixed buyback price represents a premium of nearly 20% over the stock’s previous closing price of ₹1,207.70.
Shareholders must hold eligible shares as of the September 4 record date to participate in the buyback process.
