RailTel Corporation of India shares are expected to remain in focus on Monday after the company announced a significant work order from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).
According to the company's regulatory filing, RailTel has received a contract worth ₹41,32,36,473 (excluding taxes) for providing security-related ancillary services during recruitment examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
The order was awarded by a domestic entity and is scheduled to be executed by June 5, 2028. RailTel received the work order on June 5, 2026, at 2:37 PM.
The company clarified that the awarding entity does not belong to the promoter or promoter group. RailTel further stated that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction, ensuring transparency in the contract award process.
The latest order strengthens RailTel's position in the government technology and digital infrastructure segment, where the company continues to secure contracts from various central and state government departments. The project is expected to support the secure and efficient conduct of large-scale recruitment examinations in Uttar Pradesh.
