Restaurant Brands shares jump 18% after Q1 results; revenue rises 18%, losses narrow

Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd. shares surged nearly 18% in early trade on Tuesday after the company reported a strong improvement in its financial performance for the first quarter of FY27. The stock climbed to an intraday high of ₹84.89, up from the previous close of ₹70.76, as investors cheered robust revenue growth and improved operating margins.

At 11:43 AM, the stock was trading near its day's high after opening at ₹78.90. It touched an intraday low of ₹76.73, while trading volumes remained exceptionally strong at over 8.65 crore shares. The stock is now approaching its 52-week high of ₹87.65, compared with its 52-week low of ₹57.15.

On the financial front, Restaurant Brands reported a net loss of ₹28.3 crore for the June quarter, improving from a loss of ₹41.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's revenue increased 17.9% year-on-year to ₹823 crore, compared with ₹698 crore a year ago, reflecting healthy growth across its business operations.

Operating performance also strengthened during the quarter. EBITDA rose 37.6% year-on-year to ₹100 crore, up from ₹72.8 crore in the year-ago period. The company's EBITDA margin improved to 12.2%, compared with 10.4% in the same quarter last year, indicating better operational efficiency and cost management.
