Snowman Logistics shares surged more than 5% in intraday trade on August 5 after the cold chain logistics company reported a strong set of Q1 FY27 earnings. The company posted robust growth in profitability, supported by higher revenue, improved operating performance, and better margins.
As of 1:56 PM, Snowman Logistics shares were trading near the day's high after touching an intraday high of ₹43.40, compared to the previous close of ₹39.43. The stock opened at ₹40.70, hit a low of ₹38.88, and witnessed strong investor interest with a trading volume of 25.60 lakh shares.
For the quarter, net profit jumped 79% year-on-year to ₹4.55 crore, compared with ₹2.54 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company's revenue from operations increased 9% YoY to ₹177.68 crore, up from ₹162.70 crore in the year-ago period, reflecting steady demand across its cold chain logistics business.
Operating performance also remained healthy. EBITDA rose 18% YoY to ₹28.61 crore from ₹24.34 crore a year earlier. The company's EBITDA margin improved to 16.1%, compared with 15.0% in the same quarter last year, indicating better operational efficiency.
Despite today's sharp rally, the stock remains below its 52-week high of ₹59.80, while comfortably above its 52-week low of ₹30.50.
The strong improvement in earnings, particularly the sharp rise in profit and expansion in operating margins, lifted investor sentiment, driving the stock higher during the trading session.
