This means the stock delivered a listing gain of ₹10 per share, translating to approximately 9.9% for IPO investors.

The company had set the IPO price band at ₹95 to ₹101 per share, with the final issue price fixed at the upper end of the range.

The IPO lot size was 1,200 shares. At the listing price of ₹111, investors who received one full lot would have seen a notional gain of approximately ₹12,000, before taxes and other applicable charges.

Sumax Engineering IPO Subscription

The strong listing followed massive investor interest in the Sumax Engineering IPO. The issue was subscribed 162.94 times overall, highlighting significant demand for the SME offering.

Non-institutional investors (NIIs) led the subscription, with their portion subscribed 270.70 times. The retail investor category was subscribed 158.98 times, while qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) subscribed 121.28 times.

The strong participation across all three investor categories indicated broad-based demand for the issue.

Strong NII, Retail And QIB Demand

The NII category recorded the highest subscription at 270.70 times, followed by retail investors at 158.98 times.

Meanwhile, QIB participation stood at 121.28 times, also reflecting strong institutional interest in the IPO.

Such high subscription levels often create strong expectations ahead of an SME listing. Sumax Engineering subsequently opened at ₹111, delivering a positive debut and rewarding successful IPO allottees with an initial gain.
