Syngene International shares fell more than 6% in early trade on July 30 after the company reported a weak set of consolidated Q1 FY27 results, with earnings slipping into a loss and revenue declining year-on-year.

As of 10:00 AM, the stock was trading near its day's low after hitting ₹375.25, also its fresh 52-week low, compared to the previous close of ₹414.25. The stock opened at ₹391.00 and touched an intraday high of ₹392.70. Trading activity remained strong, with over 49.77 lakh shares changing hands.

For the quarter ended June 2026, Syngene International reported a net loss of ₹9 crore, compared with a net profit of ₹86.8 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations declined 15.9% year-on-year to ₹736 crore, down from ₹875 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's EBITDA fell 33.4% to ₹141 crore from ₹211 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin narrowed to 19.1% from 24.2%.

The company also incurred a one-time cost of ₹14 crore during the quarter, which weighed on profitability.

The disappointing earnings, coupled with weaker margins and lower revenue, triggered selling pressure in the stock, pushing it to a new 52-week low in morning trade.
