XTGlobal Infotech shares gained more than 6% on Thursday after the IT services company announced its selection as a qualified technology partner for a US state government technology authority’s multi-year Cloud Engineering and Technical Services programme.
The programme initially covers two years and includes three additional one-year renewal options, creating a potential contracting framework of up to five years.
According to the company, the aggregate addressable opportunity across the programme’s entire qualified vendor pool could range between $50 million and $100 million over the potential five-year period.
XTGlobal eligible to compete for individual projects
XTGlobal’s selection does not represent a confirmed order worth $50–100 million. Instead, it allows the company to compete with other qualified vendors for individual technology engagements as the participating government entities release their requirements.
The value of contracts eventually secured by XTGlobal will depend on the number of projects released and the company’s success in winning those engagements.
The programme covers several next-generation technological capabilities, including cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI.
Other areas covered under the framework include data engineering, DevSecOps, cloud security, FinOps, automation, application modernisation and digital transformation.
Programme could run for up to five years
Under the contracting framework, participating US state government entities will issue individual technology requirements based on their operational needs.
As a qualified technology partner, XTGlobal will be able to compete for projects involving cloud modernisation, AI and generative AI solutions, data platforms, application transformation and intelligent automation throughout the programme’s duration.
The company said the selection strengthens its presence in the US public sector and supports its strategy of pursuing large-scale cloud transformation and emerging-technology programmes.
Management highlights US public-sector strategy
XTGlobal Managing Director Ramarao Atchuta Mullapudi said the selection reflected confidence in the company’s engineering, cloud and AI capabilities.
“Expanding our Public Sector portfolio in the United States while strengthening our capabilities across Cloud Engineering, AI/ML and Generative AI remain key strategic priorities for XTGlobal,” Mullapudi said.
Vasanth Vee, vice-president for Strategy and Business Innovations, will serve as account director for the engagement. He said the programme’s significance came from the range of technologies covered and the opportunity to compete for multiple engagements as requirements develop.
XTGlobal focuses on cloud, data and AI
The development supports XTGlobal’s strategy of expanding its involvement in state and local government technology modernisation in the US.
The company expects cloud infrastructure to provide a foundation for the wider adoption of AI, machine learning and generative AI across government organisations. The framework gives XTGlobal an additional channel to pursue public-sector technology projects involving cloud, data, security and automation.
XTGlobal Infotech is listed on the BSE under the code 531225 and on the NSE under the symbol XTGLOBAL.
